Stephen Colbert Runs For President

As most have already discovered, Stephen Colbert is running for Presidency against the likes of Clinton, Obama, Giuliani and more. The feedback for those who know him is extremely positive, but there are a few drawbacks.
The first being the problem with using the television show to advertise his candidacy. According to American law, no candidate can use a coporation to fund their candidacy. Technically, by him advertising on the air, he's using the funds to run that television show given by Comedy Central to enforce his cause. The only way this can be fought against is if someone declares it unlawful, basically meaning if someone complains. Right now, since there has been nothing of the sort, Colbert is safe. Word of this though, once heard by other candidates, may spark their interest to pursue a claim.
He also is only running in South Carolina, and will be on those ballots. Colbert has not yet placed a file to be officially allowed as a write-in candidate in other states, so his chances of becoming president are dimished without the full support of the country. There has been no word on when and if he decides to get these papers completed.
Also, he has yet to declare a running mate. Although he has jokingly mentioned a few names, nothing seriously implicated as been announced.
Other than that, he hasn't been involved in much of the debates running currently. He must get his word out there if he plans on actually winning. Otherwise, the votes will show a support, but not a grasp of the presidency.
