DARK FAIRY'S GARDEN first made it's internet debut in 2002. It started with Angelfire.com, and can still be found at this site here. The idea of Dark Fairy's Garden and the name, originated from the image on the first website. The box filled with bath goodies was given to me by a friend of mine for my 14th birthday. I love the image and how the fairy was incompassed by the vines of the garden surrounding her. Thus, I came up with the idea of Dark Fairy's Garden, so I could share her beauty with everyone.
As time passed, things were added here and there to it, although it never seemed to acheive that perfection that I wanted. Once I realized that DFG was failing, I knew I had to bring it back up. I started another website, this time at bravenet.com. This site can be viewed here. I wanted to keep the site for just the priviledged, as I was quite ignorant at the time how nice certain internet people could be. When the password protection faileed, I knew something drastic had to be done. I didn't want to see DFG lost in the turmoil of useless websites a lot of people were making those days. I wanted it to rise above the mesh with the other "greats" and become wonderous.
Thus, I moved to another server, Geocities.com. You can view this site here. That website did much better than any other I had at the time. It had at least ten visitors a day, and I was so proud I was finally getting DFG off the ground full speed ahead. I was complimented for my work, and insulted to. The comments weren't always wonderful, but I accepted them as ways to improve my site.
That is when for the 2003 Christmas, my father surprised me with an extrodinary gift. He presented me with my own domain name www.darkfairysgarden.com, and gave me almost every web designer's computer software that was terrifically reviewed by experts. Excited, I decided once more that DFG needed a face lift. Thus, I've come up with this. With the help of my web site, I've made new friends and associates that will hopefully last for a long time. I hope it continues to prosper and help everyone in their web design quests as well.
At first I made this website for an image I liked, but now I make it because I truly love web design. I plan on making a future for myself with it by majoring in college for it, and becoming a professional one.
And then in 2005 ...
DARK FAIRY'S GARDEN grew apart from the entire "doll's scene", and became it's original web site devoted to the arts. Creative minds could cultivate and intergrate in a safe, mature environment without the alarming number of immature youth interrupting on the scene. Such an atmosphere definitely boosted the presence of DFG on the internet world because of it's originality and devotion to a not-so-common web style. It continues to flourish today, with constant improvements every step of the way.
And then in 2007 ...
DARK FAIRY'S GARDEN, after a two year hiatus, has opened its doors once again, focusing on the webmistress' projects and goals for her life. As she begins to complete her college years quickly, she finds herself needing to have a great homepage to store all of her things. This website seemed the best way to portray all her endeavors.
